Online therapy appeals to many people for a range of reasons and is suitable for several of the issues face-to-face therapy deals with. You can find details of my online therapy practice on the Home page, Men's page, Woman's page and Couple's page,
Walk and Talk Therapy
WalkTalk therapy is therapy that is done on the move. It can be an excellent method of therapy with several different sorts of issues. If you are a procrastinator, in life transition of one form or another or experience anxiety, then walking and talking might particularly appeal to you. The pace of walking can be meditative or faster if this helps your process. Walk and Talk therapy also appears to be comfortable for people who are processing some form of grief or loss.
Walking and talking can be useful as it helps to reduce the tendency we can have towards looking across the room for constant reassurance. (In this way it can be a little like lying on the couch, with the therapist out of sight, in a traditional psychoanalytic model of therapy.) When we interact in the same room, face-to-face, eye contact and facial expressions hold people together. Since some people experience this as a pressure and behave by attempting to be polite, to smile, to nod in the right places rather than being simply honest, WalkTalk therapy as a model for your work can help free you from natural social pressures.
I offer WalkTalk therapy in my Cambridge, Bristol, Bath and North Somerset practices on certain weekend dates throughout most of the year. For some people it is an initial session that leads on to face-to-face sessions or meeting for online video-chat based counselling, psychotherapy or coaching. Other people just feel happy to meet for one or two sessions to work through a single issue. Contact me for further details.

Both men and women can experience a variety of sexual issues that might affect their ability to enjoy sex. This can have a significant effect on the quality and closeness someone feels within a relationship.
Experiencing difficulties in your sexual life can lead to low mood, frustration and even despair. Not being able to have a full sexual life can also lead to a range of issues connected with poor self-esteem and low self-image for both genders.
Commonly referred sexual difficulties for women are:
- loss of libido
- difficulty with orgasm
- pain during intercourse.
Commonly referred sexual issues for men are:
- premature ejaculation
- loss of erections
- delayed ejaculation.
Some sexual difficulties have an underlying medical component, and so it is important that these are considered by a relevantly qualified medical practitioner. This could mean a trip to your GP or sexual health clinic to rule out certain medical issues at a relevant point. Additionally, prescription medications like SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors), used for the treatment of depression, can have an influence on the sexual function of both men and women. However, where there is no underlying medical concern or reason for sexual function difficulties, a psychotherapeutic approach, such as the talking therapy that I use in my online practice, can bring about extremely good outcomes for psychologically based sexual issues.
REWIND is a monthly, one-to-one, multi-dimensional approach to recovering from porn and related sexual addictions.
Developed from years of individual work with porn and sex addicts the REWIND programme is my affordable option for recovery. The REWIND programme is not a 'one size fits all' programme, but a bespoke, individual and relational way to deal with your issues via a video-chat based encounter.
The whole process begins by booking a one-to-one online session with me to assess the suitability of the programme for your needs.
It is important to the REWIND process that you have a good idea of what you want to alter in yourself and so before your session, I will set you a simple task or two to help you organise your thinking for our first meeting. The online video-chat sessions last 50 minutes and you should be prepared for quite an intense experience. During the session you will assess whether you really want to change your negative relationship with porn or other sexual acting out. After the session there will be several exercises to engage in.
If the session feels productive and comfortable for you, you will be given the opportunity to move onto the main sections of the REWIND programme, which consists of 12 further 50-minute one-to-one video chat sessions accompanied with follow-up work and exercises that you undertake on your own – between your monthly conversations with me.
